This week in Sunday School
Lent: The Season of No YES! Lent is often thought of as a season of "no." Some of us are saying say "no" to Alcohol, Facebook, Bread, Pinterest, and Rutabegas! But what if Lent was seen as the season of "Yes?" What if saying "no" to stuff was really about freeing up some time and/or money so we can say "yes" to a richer prayer life, a deeper study of scripture, greater outreach to those in need or a more intentional effort to love others and ourselves? This year let's "re-lent" and say "Yes" to God!!
Great Attendance this week -- 24 participants, including 3 visitors! Hope to see everyone next week -- just say "yes" to Sunday School!!!
Important Dates and Reminders
Wonderful Wednesday Meal -- Our class will be serving Potato Soup on
Wed, Feb 29. You may have signed up for a time to help, if not....you are still needed! If you are available, please consider joining us on Tues at 6:30pm and/or Wed at 4pm. Dinner will be served on Wed, starting at 5:30 -- and we will need help cleaning up afterwards! Thanks to all!!
Work Day at Wilderness Trail -- April 21. More info to come!
Class Beach Trip to Tom's Island (I mean Bald Head Island) --

Rummage Sale --
May 18 & 19. Collection of items is underway and Saturday work days will start in March!
