News and Interesting Stuff

Homecoming was a tremendous day!  And it had particular meaning to the Edwards family as Chuck has officially moved home!!!!   He will be working from Kernersville through the end of this year while he continues to wait for a new employment opportunity!

A Special Thanks --
Both of our Judy's spent a lot of time and energy making sure all the details were in order for the covered dish lunch Sunday morning.  Hats off to both of them as well as all the others who set up tables, sliced cakes, warmed casseroles, clean spills, washed dishes, etc, etc, etc.

Dates and Reminders

• Men in Balance -- Starts Oct 3,  7pm -9pm -- A six session discussion group especially designed for men who are seeking balance between work, family and their relationship with God.  If you're wondering where you are with this delicate balance, complete the Balance Quiz.  For more info, check out the website - http://www.meninbalance.org/ or contact Tom H.

• Trunk or Treat -- Sat, Oct 29, 4pm -6pm --  Lots will be going on!  Trunk or Treat (decorated cars/vans), hay rides, Bouncy House, games and special music by First Fruits Praise Team. The United Methodist Men will have food for sale (hot dog meal and funnel cakes).  Invite your family and friends to come with you for this fun event.  All sorts of volunteer opporunities are available -- if you have questions, or want to know how you can help contact Angie S.
