When the shepherds heard about the birth of a Savior, they immediately looked at each other and said -- "Let's go and see!" Today when folks are looking for Christ they can't exactly look in the manger at a newborn baby. So, where do they find Jesus? In you and in me. In class we examined several well known logos to see if we could find the intended messages. Check out the Tostitos logo -- can you see it? The "Ts" are people sharing a chip over a bowl of salsa which is also the dot on the "i."
The point? We are like God's logo -- conveying a message to our kids, co-workers, the employee at McD's drive-through window, the cashier at Walmart and that visitor who sat close to the door at last Sunday's service. Are they seeing Christ in you?
What an afternoon!!!! We had 21 shoppers who successfully secured and wrapped gifts for 11 people. I have never seen such bargain shoppers in my life. You guys really know how to stretch a dollar!!! Thanks to all for a great project. This is just one of the ways we use the funds we raise throughout the year. Speaking of which.....are y'all about ready for the Rummage Sale?!?!?Shopping for our Sponsored Families

- Christmas Party -- Dec 17th at 7pm -- Class Christmas party at Cheryl and Tom's (2504 Rocky Springs Lane). Everyone is invited to bring an appetizer/snack to share and any "special" beverages you might like to have. NEW INFORMATION: Please bring a small gift ($10ish) for a gift exchange game. Ladies bring a girly gift and guys bring a manly gift!
- Christmas Programs -- LOTS going on at church!!! Check your newsletter for the details about special music services (Dec 18), The Children's Program (Dec 18) and Christmas Eve Service (if you need me to include this date, maybe you should slow down....you've obviously got WAY too much going on!)
- No Sunday School on Dec 25 or Jan 1. Combined services at 10:55.
